Last weekend it was to Covert, Michigan. It was my first time to this part of Michigan and I will definitely be back. Just experiencing this ‘fruit belt’ is reason enough alone.

As a former Girl Scout camping is something that I love to do…once a year. And for me it is all about the food. The classics are always part of the menu…s’mores…but try them with a saltine cracker, our PB Loco Chocolate Peanut Butter and, of course, the roasted marshmallow and a square of chocolate. A new one for 2008…take a plain donut and place it on a piece of foil, sprinkle it with a little cinnamon and sugar, top with fresh blueberries and peaches or whatever fresh fruit you have. Wrap and place on the coals of your campfire. Roast 3 minutes on each side…and then enjoy!!!
