We’re currently the only stockists of Miss Marjorie’s Steel Drum Plantains in Chicago, so come by and try them out! They’re a new favorite amongst the staff here at Southport – so crunchy and delicious, they leave you wanting more and more. Good thing each box has 3 smaller boxes inside, since they disappear at an alarming rate!

They are crafted by hand in Seattle, WA by Donna Moodie who grew up in Jamaica and knows a thing or two about cooking. She was always inspired by her Mom Marjorie’s passion for cooking from scratch, so naming them after her seemed fitting. We love that the box is adorned with old family photos, giving you a sense of the family tradition that the chips were born out of.

The little boxes are very portable and would make a great addition to your lunch box. Great on their own and also with dips, we’ve paired them with our Mostarda di Frutta and our Ramp Mustard – both were fantastic. Next up we want to try them with salsa and guacamole, especially since we came across this recipe for grilled pineapple guacamole and pico de gallo on Marjorie’s site! How incredible does that sound?!

These chips are crunchy and perfectly seasoned. They’re also naturally gluten free and vegan.

6oz package (of 3 individually wrapped 2oz boxes) is $8.95
